Miller Bowles Cushing Partner Kate B. Miller attended the Family Law Specialists Meeting in Raleigh, North Carolina this past weekend. The conference, held on July 25, is an annual gathering of North Carolina Board Certified Specialists in Family Law. The conference features speakers on various domestic law topics and provides family law attorneys with a chance to continue learning about this ever-changing area of law.
Kate B. Miller was designated as a North Carolina Board Certified Specialist in Family Law in 2013. Attorneys seeking specialization by the State Bar must meet a rigorous criteria that includes five years of practice devoted to family law, at least 45 hours of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) classes on family law in the prior three years, peer review by other attorneys, and a qualifying score on a day-long examination covering all aspects of North Carolina Family Law.
