Miller Bowles Cushing partners, Attorney Christopher D. Miller and Attorney Kate B. Miller, were named 2018 Legal Elite for Family Law by Business North Carolina (BNC) Magazine. Less than three percent of the state’s attorneys are awarded “Legal Elite” status, according to the publication.
In response to receiving the award, Attorney Chris Miller said, “It is humbling that other family law attorneys nominated and voted Kate and I as Legal Elite for Family Law again. This award means so much because it’s based on the opinions and votes of our peers—attorneys who’ve observed our legal work and how we practice law—and believe we are doing things the right way.
Each year, Business North Carolina Magazine chooses it’s Legal Elite after a meticulous selection and peer review process. The publication states: “BNC sends ballots to every member of the NC State Bar living in North Carolina—asking a simple question: Of the Tar Heel lawyers whose work you have observed firsthand, whom would you rate among the current best in these categories?”
This is the third consecutive year Attorney Chris D. Miller has won after being honored in 2016 and 2017. This is the second such honor for Attorney Kate B. Miller after being previously awarded in 2015.
